The specimen consists of a substantial reddish-brown to muted salmon-colored crystalline mass with vitreous to slightly pearly surfaces and numerous intergrown crystal and cleavage faces. Lighter cream-colored areas occur throughout, adding contrast to the otherwise rich earthy coloration.\u003cspan class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchor\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChlorapatite is the chlorine-dominant member of the apatite group and is considerably less commonly encountered in collections than ordinary Fluorapatite.
