Collection: Grape Agate
The term "Grape Agate" is used in the market to describe purple clusters of small quartz crystals exhibiting a botryoidal (spherical) structure. From a mineralogical standpoint, it's important to note that grape agate is not technically an agate; rather, it is botryoidal purple chalcedony.
This distinctive variety is often found in Indonesia and has also been discovered in the US, west of the Green River in Utah.
