A classic Amazonite crystal from the Lake George area of Colorado, showing attractive blue-green coloration and the distinctive blocky crystal habit of microcline feldspar. This individual crystal has a lovely soft turquoise to medium blue-green color, with subtle variations in saturation across its faces. Fine parallel growth striations are readily visible, particularly on the larger crystal faces, giving the specimen plenty of texture when viewed under direct light. Natural whitish areas, minor iron-toned staining, and irregular contact surfaces remain around portions of the crystal.
