An excellent old Canadian Betafite specimen dominated by a single, remarkably well-developed crystal. The nearly equant crystal displays broad geometric faces with a dark brownish-black coloration, subtle bronze-brown weathering, and areas of slightly brighter luster along the edges. Despite some natural contacts and minor surface alteration, the overall crystal form remains exceptionally obvious and makes this a strong example of this uranium-bearing member of the pyrochlore supergroup.
