An unusual older New York Serpentine specimen with remarkably good translucency. In normal reflected light it appears pale yellow-green to creamy olive with broad, somewhat waxy cleavage-like surfaces, while strong transmitted light transforms the specimen into a rich golden-yellow. The piece has a layered, massive habit with scattered darker inclusions and internal veining.
