Patches of vivid blue Chrysocolla emerge between and beneath the Chalcedony, creating beautiful color variation across the specimen. The rounded formations range from tightly clustered micro-botryoids to larger, distinct spheres with a soft, frosted luster.
This unusual material from Obi Island forms where silica-rich fluids interact with copper mineralization, producing Chalcedony associated with colorful secondary copper minerals. The presence of Chrysocolla and Native Copper adds flashes of turquoise among the delicate, rounded Chalcedony formations.
