A smaller, rounded formation extends from the side of the main aggregate, while contrasting white crystalline material and a prominent dark, striated Epidote crystal add visual interest. Subtle golden-brown accents and areas of creamy white matrix complete this naturally sculptural specimen.
Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral that frequently forms rounded, botryoidal aggregates composed of tightly packed radiating crystals. Mali is especially well known for its distinctive Prehnite and Epidote associations, where the soft green translucency of Prehnite contrasts beautifully with the dark, sharply defined crystals of Epidote.
