A richly mineralized Arizona copper specimen covered with deep emerald to blue-green brochantite, developed across a rugged, heavily oxidized brown matrix. The brochantite takes several habits across this piece: compact crystalline crusts give way to radiating sprays and dense aggregates of fine acicular crystals, particularly within protected pockets and recesses. Those needle-like clusters catch the light beautifully, producing a silky to vitreous sparkle over the darker substrate.
