Caribbean Calcite is a trade name for a naturally occurring combination of light blue calcite and brown to white aragonite, often showing layered or mottled patterns. The contrast between the two calcium carbonate minerals gives the material its distinctive ocean-like appearance.

This material forms in sedimentary environments where calcite and aragonite crystallize together under changing conditions. Caribbean Calcite is primarily sourced from Pakistan, where large deposits allow for cutting and polishing into decorative forms.

When polished into palm stones, Caribbean Calcite highlights the natural interaction between its mineral components, with each piece displaying unique color zoning and patterning.
