Petrified Hickory Wood Oregon, USA Dimensions: 6.5 × 4.4 × 5.5 cm Provenance: Original collection label, catalog no. 447, identifying the specimen as Hickory Wood from Oregon.
A beautifully polished cross-section of petrified wood displaying rich chocolate-brown, amber, and golden tones, accented by delicate blue-gray chalcedony. Concentric growth patterns radiate around the center of the specimen, revealing the preserved structure of the original wood.
The polished face contrasts beautifully with the natural exterior, where longitudinal grain and layered textures remain visible. Small natural cavities and intricate mineral-filled fractures add depth and visual interest.
