Cherry Blossom Flower Agate is a trade name for a variety of agate, a microcrystalline form of quartz (SiO₂), distinguished by plume-like inclusions that resemble blooming flowers within a translucent chalcedony matrix.
These “flower” patterns are created by mineral inclusions — often iron or manganese oxides — that formed during silica deposition in volcanic cavities. The soft pink coloration results from trace mineral content within the chalcedony.
Most Cherry Blossom Flower Agate is sourced from Madagascar, where nodular deposits allow for cutting and polishing into decorative forms.
