Fluorite on Quartz Pasto Bueno Mining District, Pampas District, Pallasca Province, Áncash, Peru Dimensions: 8.5 × 8.3 × 8.1 cm Provenance: Locality provided with specimen; original collection documentation not supplied.
An exceptional cabinet specimen featuring a beautiful seafoam-green Fluorite cluster nestled among an impressive arrangement of transparent Quartz crystals. The Fluorite displays delicate mint-green coloration, with finely textured, subtly sparkling surface formed by numerous intergrown crystal faces. Its soft pastel color contrasts beautifully with the brilliant clarity of the surrounding Quartz.
The Quartz forms an intricate, three-dimensional landscape of elongated prismatic crystals, many displaying sharp terminations, reflective faces, and delicate internal growth features. Larger, prominently positioned crystals provide structure and visual balance, while smaller intergrown points create remarkable depth and complexity. The Fluorite occupies a natural focal point within this crystalline arrangement, producing an elegant contrast between the rounded green aggregate and the angular Quartz crystals.
The Pasto Bueno mining district in the Peruvian Andes is celebrated for its diverse mineral assemblages, including distinctive Fluorite and Quartz combinations.
