Fluorite with Quartz Hexigten Banner (Keshiketeng Banner), Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, China Dimensions: 13.2 × 12.8 × 4.5 cm Provenance: Locality attribution provided with specimen; specific mine not confirmed.
A cabinet specimen featuring beautifully developed, pale sage-green Fluorite crystals scattered across a sparkling matrix of white to translucent Quartz. The Fluorite displays attractive modified cubic forms with beveled edges, subtle internal zoning, and delicately frosted crystal faces. Understated pastel coloration creates an elegant contrast against brilliant white Quartz. The Quartz matrix consists of densely intergrown crystals, ranging from fine, glittering druse to larger, individually recognizable points. Numerous small cavities and recesses reveal intricate crystal growth throughout the specimen, creating a richly textured, three-dimensional surface.
The Hexigten Banner region of Inner Mongolia is celebrated for its diverse mineral assemblages, particularly the attractive associations of Fluorite and Quartz produced by its mineral-rich deposits.
