Fluorite- Milky Way Pocket, Diana Maria Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, Co. Durham, England, sku mw017
Discovered September 2020, Milky Way Pocket earned it's name for it's deep teal-green, near black fluorite speckled with star-like burts of milky white. Patches of greyish-colorless quartz can occur between the fluorite, and can form micro druzy coatings. Perhaps what Milky Way is best known for is the intense blackberry current daylight fluorescence.
This extremely aesthetic Milky Way fluorite twin showcases the milky white that the pocket is known for along with extremely sharp lines. It also has aragonite that graces the surface of the fluorite and exhibits exceptional daylight fluorescence.
