A Quartz cluster composed of numerous elongated, flattened crystals arranged in a dramatic overlapping formation. Larger blade-like crystals rise from the specimen at multiple angles, accompanied by smaller transparent Quartz points nestled throughout the cluster.
Darker and larger versions of these are commonly called Amethyst Flowers, Quartz Flowers, or sometimes Amethyst Rosettes. They form as radiating or overlapping groups of flattened quartz crystals, often associated with the basalt-hosted amethyst deposits of southern Brazil and neighboring Uruguay.
