The stone is an Aurora Opal doublet, and the ring is a size 9. Aurora Opal is a lab grown Opal, possessing the same chemical composition as natural opals but without the price tag. The slice has been set behind a Clear Quartz top, giving it additional hardiness and minimizing the scratching and discoloration that can occur with Opals. This stone was custom cut for us, magnifying the Opal's fire and playing it across the dome.
