A striking polished Labradorite freeform featuring a silvery charcoal-gray body illuminated by an extraordinary range of iridescent color. As the stone is moved through the light, flashes of pink, magenta, purple, gold, green, aqua, and blue emerge across the polished surface, creating a beautifully shifting rainbow effect.
Labradorite is a member of the plagioclase feldspar group and is famous for the optical phenomenon known as labradorescence. This remarkable color play is produced as light interacts with microscopic internal layers within the feldspar, causing brilliant colors to appear and disappear depending on the angle of illumination and observation.
