A bright native Gold specimen featuring a concentrated cluster of rich yellow metallic Gold nestled along the edge of a natural cavity in white to translucent Quartz. Additional fine Gold is visible extending around the cavity, creating a particularly attractive presentation under magnification. The Quartz has a sugary crystalline texture with scattered dark inclusions and subtle reddish iron staining.
La Choya is a documented native Gold and Quartz locality in northern Sonora. Gold mineralization at the deposit occurs in quartz-bearing veins, making specimens showing visible native Gold against Quartz particularly representative of the locality.
