The Gold displays a distinctly crystalline, platy texture with multiple reflective faces, accompanied by additional smaller Gold occurrences nearby. The elongated Quartz matrix features natural cavities, subtle iron staining, and scattered metallic inclusions that provide additional contrast and character.
La Choya is a documented native Gold and Quartz locality in northern Sonora. Gold mineralization at the deposit occurs in quartz-bearing veins, making specimens showing visible native Gold against Quartz particularly representative of the locality.
