A beautiful double-terminated point fashioned from natural amethyst, displaying delicate lavender-purple coloration and wonderful translucency. The interior is filled with natural crystalline veils, fractures and reflective features that catch the light and occasionally produce tiny rainbow flashes.
Polishing allows the internal structure of the amethyst to remain highly visible while giving the piece crisp geometric faces and a point at each end. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂), with a Mohs hardness of 7.
