Type Locality**
This is a dark, dense-looking example composed of deep reddish-brown to nearly black massive and coarsely crystalline material. Under direct illumination, the otherwise somber surface opens into warm mahogany and garnet-brown flashes, particularly along fractured areas and thin edges. One broad face has a resinous sheen, while the opposite side exposes strongly directional bladed-looking textures. That appearance is consistent with Långban Tilasite, which is reported in gray, violet-gray and pinkish-red colors and may occur as grains or veinlets within the deposit.
