A striking specimen of botryoidal Prehnite featuring large, rounded formations in soft sage-green and pale pistachio hues. The overlapping, grape-like aggregates display a delicate frosted surface with subtle radial textures and areas of creamy white crystalline growth. Nestled between the Prehnite formations are contrasting clusters of deep olive-green to nearly black Epidote crystals, exhibiting a vitreous luster, pronounced longitudinal striations, and flashes of translucent green along their edges.
Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral that commonly forms rounded, botryoidal aggregates through hydrothermal processes. Specimens from Mali are particularly admired for their sculptural Prehnite formations and their association with dark green Epidote.
