A bright metallic Pyrite specimen from the renowned Huanzala Mine in Peru, featuring sharp, intergrown metallic crystals. The Pyrite displays bright brassy-gold coloration luster, with crystals ranging from small tightly packed forms to larger, prominently developed crystals across the face of the specimen.
Many of the crystals show the complex modified and striated growth characteristic of Huanzala Pyrite, creating overlapping geometric forms. Along one side, contrasting white druzy Quartz forms sparkling aggregates against the Pyrite. Quartz is a well-documented and frequent associate of Pyrite from this locality.
The Huanzala Mine is regarded as one of the world's significant localities for Pyrite. This specimen is a beautiful example of the locality, with excellent crystal coverage, strong metallic brilliance, and attractive contrast between the golden Pyrite and white Quartz.
