A beautifully polished Rainbow Obsidian puffy star featuring a dimensional five-pointed design with softly rounded edges and a deep, glassy black finish. Subtle bands of green, violet, purple, and other iridescent tones emerge from the dark surface as the carving is turned beneath strong light.
Rainbow Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass prized for the colorful sheen hidden within its otherwise dark appearance. Fine internal structures within the obsidian interact with light to reveal layers of shifting color, which may range from green and gold to purple, violet, pink, and other subtle rainbow tones.
The deeply sculpted star form creates curved polished surfaces that catch the light from different directions, allowing different areas of color and sheen to become visible as the piece is rotated. Under ordinary lighting, Rainbow Obsidian may appear predominantly black, with its colors becoming most apparent under bright, directional illumination.
