A beautiful natural pink Elbaite Tourmaline crystal from the Água Branca pegmatite in Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This lovely miniature features a soft rose-pink body with deeper raspberry-pink color concentrated near the termination, creating subtle natural color zoning throughout the crystal.
The crystal retains a well-defined prismatic form with characteristic longitudinal growth features along its faces. Its translucent interior contains natural veils, fractures, and growth features that catch and reflect the light, giving the specimen a bright, almost sugary appearance from different angles. Areas of greater clarity allow light to pass beautifully through the pink crystal.
The Água Branca pegmatite is part of the famous gem-bearing pegmatite region of Minas Gerais and is particularly noted among collectors for producing colorful elbaite tourmalines. Pink elbaite from this locality is an excellent representation of the richly colored tourmalines for which Brazil is renowned.
