A beautiful natural pink Elbaite Tourmaline crystal from the Água Branca pegmatite in Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This striking crystal has a broad, substantial prismatic form with beautiful rose to bubblegum-pink coloration throughout. Subtle variations in saturation create natural zoning within the crystal, including a richer raspberry-pink band near the upper edge.
The crystal faces display prominent longitudinal striations characteristic of tourmaline, along with stepped growth features and natural texturing. One side shows more irregular natural growth/contact features, contrasting nicely with the broader, flatter crystal faces.
The Água Branca pegmatite is part of the famous gem-bearing pegmatite region of Minas Gerais and is particularly noted among collectors for producing colorful elbaite tourmalines. Pink elbaite from this locality is an excellent representation of the richly colored tourmalines for which Brazil is renowned.
