A beautiful natural pink Elbaite Tourmaline crystal from the Água Branca pegmatite in Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
This specimen displays a beautiful rose to strawberry-pink color with areas of impressive translucency. Light penetrates deeply into the crystal, revealing intricate internal growth structures, reflective veils, and subtle variations in pink saturation.
Its broad prismatic form preserves characteristic longitudinal tourmaline striations along the crystal faces. One of the most interesting features is the complex natural growth and contact texture across several sides, creating recessed areas and angular internal structures that give the specimen considerable depth. A small amount of white pegmatite-associated mineral material remains attached along one side, adding a nice bit of locality character.
The Água Branca pegmatite is part of the famous gem-bearing pegmatite region of Minas Gerais and is particularly noted among collectors for producing colorful elbaite tourmalines. Pink elbaite from this locality is an excellent representation of the richly colored tourmalines for which Brazil is renowned.
