A beautiful natural pink Elbaite Tourmaline crystal from the Água Branca pegmatite in Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
This specimen features a delicate blush to rose-pink color with a noticeably richer raspberry-pink zone concentrated along the upper edge. Much of the crystal is highly translucent, with several beautifully clear, glassy areas that allow light to pass directly through the prism.
Fine longitudinal striations cover the crystal faces, while the interior reveals fascinating growth structures, veils, and reflective fractures. These internal features become especially striking under backlighting, creating bright flashes and subtle shifts in the intensity of the pink color. The deeper pink zoning along the upper edge provides a beautiful contrast against the paler, gemmier body.
The Água Branca pegmatite is part of the famous gem-bearing pegmatite region of Minas Gerais and is particularly noted among collectors for producing colorful elbaite tourmalines. Pink elbaite from this locality is an excellent representation of the richly colored tourmalines for which Brazil is renowned.
