A substantial classic Ohio Celestine specimen composed of pale icy-blue to nearly colorless crystalline material with a distinctly fibrous to bladed appearance. Broad translucent cleavage surfaces contrast with tightly parallel crystal growth along the lower portion, giving the specimen considerable texture and a soft silvery-blue luster. Clay Center is a long-established American Celestine locality, with the occurrence described in mineralogical literature as early as the 1930s.
