An older locality specimen of Carnotite from the Black Hills of South Dakota. The specimen is composed of yellow to mustard-yellow, finely crystalline Carnotite richly distributed through and coating a porous sandstone matrix. Under magnification, the surface resolves into innumerable tiny platy to granular crystals, producing a subtly sparkling texture across the specimen.
